Oh my goodness, my emotions were all over the map while I read this book From grins to laughter to wincing to tears and then repeat There may have even been a full out bawl over one particular scene close to the end There totally was I felt so drawn to Vanessa, to Logan, to their history and to their hearts as well as even to the secondary characters Especially Logan s storm team, his family, The Wrights, and Mindy. The romantic tension seemed tangible immediately from Vanessa and Logan Oh my goodness, my emotions were all over the map while I read this book From grins to laughter to wincing to tears and then repeat There may have even been a full out bawl over one particular scene close to the end There totally was I felt so drawn to Vanessa, to Logan, to their history and to their hearts as well as even to the secondary characters Especially Logan s storm team, his family, The Wrights, and Mindy. The romantic tension seemed tangible immediately from Vanessa and Logan s first re encounter, and I could sense right away that their backstory was a good one I was not wrong The flashbacks that Beth Vogt worked seamlessly throughout the book added so much depth and emotion to the present plot, and honestly I fell in love with Vanessa Logan while watching them fall in love with each other way back in high school In my opinion, a story about past loves needs to establish a base for rooting for them in the present I mean, there s a reason they were past , right I think Beth Vogt did an amazing job of showing why Logan and Vanessa were something special when they first fell in love.Crazy Little Thing Called Love is the first book I ve read by Beth Vogt, I am sorry to say Now I want to go back and play catch up Her writing voice is natural and engaging, and she gives the right amount of detail without overdoing the descriptions I was instantly wrapped up in the plot, in the characters, in the palpable tension romantic and emotional , in the friendships that cross miles, and in the gentle reminders of God s grace and enduring love.Bottom Line The perfect beach read even if you re stuck at home Crazy Little Thing Called Love will dothan get a song stuck in your head It will wrap its arms around your waist like the passenger on a motorcycle and do a one two tap on your heart Alive with engaging characters and a heartfelt plot, this story will renew your belief in the power of second chances and redemption And seriously, there s a scene toward the end that will require a decent tissue supply to be on hand It s so worth it though I received a copy of the book from the publisher via both Litfuse Publicity Group and Netgalley in exchange for only my honest review Read my full review here
