Erin Upton is too embarrassed to tell the cops what she was really doing while her townhouse was burglarized, especially since the first officer on the scene is former nuisance next door Charlie Dwyer Where s the justice in the world when a neighborhood know it all grows up to be six foot three inches of solid muscle with gorgeous green eyes and a slow, sexy please arrest me now officer smile It s bad enough she s wearing her robe and slippers did he have to notice her fuzzy hand cuffs on the bathroom sink He s arrogant as he ever was, which is fine by her she s too busy with her dance studio s grand opening to make time for a man But they keep crossing paths, andwhen Charlie offers to help her put in new flooring at the studio one night, things go from hammering nails to hammering each other in a hurry And about those hand cuffs They agree it s a one time thing But when that becomes a two time thing, then a three time thing, Erin starts to wonder if maybe she and Charlie could be a life time thing Her best friends Mia and Coco found love in unexpected places Is it finally her turn

If you re looking for a feel good, laugh out loud, and super sexy contemporary romance, meet your holy grail This book was fantastic I m pretty sure I had a goofy smile on my face the entire time reading it I don t think there was one thing about it that I didn t like If that synopsis doesn t hook you, the first chapter will surely seal the deal. What s worse than realizing that you have an uninvited visitor while you re in the shower Having said visitor be a burglar and your shower be a very VERY dirty fantasy reenactment with Brad Pitt in a starring role As if Erin s night couldn t possibly get any worse, the cop that shows up on her doorstep is her childhood tormentor The boy that held up her lemonade stand with a water gun The boy that kidnapped her hamster and held him for ransom The bane of her childhood existence But boy oh boy has Charlie grown into one sexy specimen Damn him There is nothingI love than a hate to love trope, and combine that with a quirky heroine and a dirty talking cop and I am putty in your hands I m pretty sure Erin s inner monologue alone deserves 5 stars She was hilarious I found myself laughing like a loon at some of the things that would come out of her mouth ..I was irritated It wasn t the note, either It was the fact that Charlie had come over here, tempted me with his whiskey and his cologne and his cuddling, and then kept his word not to touch me How dare heThe chemistry between them is instantaneous and absolutely sizzling But that s not to say there was insta lust here because Erin fights her attraction to him with everything she s got Charlie isn t exactly the settling down type, and she s only dated good guys boring as they may have been But Charlie is like a magnet that Erin gravitates toor maybe it s all the orgasms that he seems so skilled at wringing from her Charlie is absolute sex on a stick a dirty talker and take charge in bedand when those handcuffs come out Ho boy Panties will be melting everywhere I simply adored this book It was such a light and steamy read with no stupid drama or manufactured angst in sight Sure Charlie fights his connection to Erin and it becomes obvious that he s hiding something from her But Erin has a few tricks up her sleeve too Confession I actually said a little prayer here, something along the lines of Dear God, I hope you re not watching this but I d really, really be grateful if I could get through this without gagging or choking, and also it would be great if this was the best blowjob he ever gets in his entire life OK thanks, go away now. I was hoping that the reason for Charlie s behavior would be good enough to truly get why he is the way he is, and it was that Melanie Harlow truly delivered a hero that s perfectly imperfect I loved it Then there was that epilogue and an extended sneak peak at the rest of the couples It was absolutely adorable I can gush to you on and on just how much I loved this book, but you simply must experience it for yourself If you re hesitant after the last 2 books and don t like too much drama, worry not, there s none of that here It was a perfect light read and exactly what I needed to spend a Saturday afternoon with A highly recommended read to all lovers of humorous contemporary romance ARC courtesy of author in exchange of an honest reviewForreviews visit

4 stars I really enjoyed this book The blurb alone had my attention the heroine s house gets broken into while she s, ah, getting her kink on and to make matters worse, the first cop on the scene afterwards is the guy who used to torment her when they were kids Teehee And since I was really in the mood for a romantic comedy, I gave this one a try, and I m glad I did It s my first book from this author and I didn t know what to expect, so I was happily surprised that her writing grabbed me 4 stars I really enjoyed this book The blurb alone had my attention the heroine s house gets broken into while she s, ah, getting her kink on and to make matters worse, the first cop on the scene afterwards is the guy who used to torment her when they were kids Teehee And since I was really in the mood for a romantic comedy, I gave this one a try, and I m glad I did It s my first book from this author and I didn t know what to expect, so I was happily surprised that her writing grabbed me from the very first page and already had me smilingnot only hadthan two thousand dollars worth of electronics been stolen from my townhouse while I was upstairs getting myself off, but here to protect me was the bully next door And he was drop dead gorgeous Where was the justice in the worldRight from the start, I liked the quirky heroine Erin She s a good girl who plays things by the book yet has secret fantasies On the one night she gives the finger to the world and decides to indulge in her kinky fantasies, she s interrupted by a burglar and gets her valuables stolen LOL The fun s only just started though the police officer sent to her house to investigate is none other than the hero Charlie Dwyer, her childhood bully who seems to have turned over a new leaf and though she doesn t trust him yet, Erin can t deny that she s at least attracted to the guyFucking Charlie Dwyer had the spark How infuriatingTheir chemistry is off the charts steamy and throw in some dirty talk and I m a goner Because they re polar opposites with Erin not looking for anything casual and Charlie not planning on settling down anytime soon, both of them agree to only a one time fling Except it becomes a two time fling And then a three time fling Even with both of them admitting that logically, they shouldn t be together, they re just naturally drawn to each othera lot of my thoughts about you are sexual, but I also want to do things for you I want to take you places and show you things and talk to you and ask you questions and argue with you I imagine your body under your clothes and I want to cover it with mine, protect you from everythingI really appreciated that there was no insta love Erin and Charlie really fought against their attraction and even in between all their bouts of smoking hot sex, they actually acted as friends and the relationship development was evident there No stupid drama or extra angst I also had a blast reading Erin s inner dialogue and could relate to her fears and insecurities. The only reason why I couldn t give this book a full 5 stars is because near the end, there s just a tiny misunderstanding between Erin and Charlie that blew up big and fast, and I kind of felt that conflict was a bit exaggerated Nevertheless, no real harm was done and I liked how it was resolved so it didn t hinder my enjoyment of the story much. From there on out, the book got back on track and I was once again grinning from ear to ear, thoroughly enjoying the banter and the rest of Erin and Charlie s story The epilogue especially was amazing and had me sighing in contentment. It really was the perfect weekend read for me and helped me unwind from a stressful week I haven t read the other books in this series yet, but from what I have read about these side characters here, I m interested in each of their individual stories If you re in the mood for a sweet and fun romantic comedy that s low on angst, look no further Floored is the 3rd book in the Frenched series but can be read as a standalone

4 Stars What would you do when your childhood tormentor turned out to be the man who will make all your dirty fantasies come true Erin Upton has always been a good girl but that doesn t mean she doesn t indulge in some very naughty fantasy One night while she was indulging in one of her fantasies, her house was burglarized Enter Charlie Dwyer, who is now a police officer Charlie and Erin grew up next door to each other when they were kids He was such a little shit back then, tormenting Erin 4 Stars What would you do when your childhood tormentor turned out to be the man who will make all your dirty fantasies come true Erin Upton has always been a good girl but that doesn t mean she doesn t indulge in some very naughty fantasy One night while she was indulging in one of her fantasies, her house was burglarized Enter Charlie Dwyer, who is now a police officer Charlie and Erin grew up next door to each other when they were kids He was such a little shit back then, tormenting Erin and holding her hamster hostage, so Erin was quite flabbergasted when Charlie grew up to be hot, and worst of all, she s attracted to him And it just wasn t Erin who was feeling the sparks Charlie was attracted to her too but he can t offer anythingthan a temporary fling, something that Erin isn t down for But as they spent time together, their attraction grew and so is their friendship I really liked the chemistry between Charlie and Erin Their history coupled with their attraction as adults had me turning the pages Erin was such a character She s the epitome of a single woman She s smart, funny, and ambitious She sees her friends pairing up, and while she s happy for them, she also wants what they have Charlie was the perfect foil for Erin s rigid ways Their differences are what made their relationship work And Charlie, despite his statements to the contrary was slowly falling for Erin fast Their banter and Erin s monologue were hilarious The book was written from Erin s POV, so the fact that I related to her, made this book a very enjoyable read for me My only quibble was the conflict was a little meh for me But I did like the way they resolved their issues It s fun, light, and sexy Readers who are allergic to angst will like Floored as it is very light on the angst and leaningtowards romantic comedy, which I liked very, very much DARC provided to The Racy Lit Reader in exchange for an honest review.
