SatisfyingThe action in this book was near constant and made for a quick and satisfying read Book 3 accomplished everything expected of it and tied everything up nicely It made me want to continue to follow these characters I ve grown so fond of. I m hooked Since the first book, Born of Water, I ve been hooked on the series Need , I must be an Earth Elemental, maybe. EngrossingI loved these three books and could not put them down I really became attached to all the characters although I must admit there were so many names I had to think how they related to the stories by the end of the books. SpiritsThis whole series has been an excellent read Full of twists, turns and plots A good read of good versus evil. Spirit of Life is the third and final book of Rise of the Fifth Order series I enjoyed the first two immensely, so it was only natural that I wanted to finish out the series As with the first two, I greatly enjoyed this final installment Synopsis from the author Would you protect a girl whose forbidden abilities condemn her to death Welcome to the world of Myrrah, ruled by the Church of Four Orders Fire, Earth, Water, and Air But there exists another gift, dubbed magic, which is consider Spirit of Life is the third and final book of Rise of the Fifth Order series I enjoyed the first two immensely, so it was only natural that I wanted to finish out the series As with the first two, I greatly enjoyed this final installment Synopsis from the author Would you protect a girl whose forbidden abilities condemn her to death Welcome to the world of Myrrah, ruled by the Church of Four Orders Fire, Earth, Water, and Air But there exists another gift, dubbed magic, which is considered an aberration by the Church To be born with the powers of magic is to be condemned to death To be born with the ability to control an element is to born to a life serving the Church, and obeying its rules.Seventeen year old Ria has mastered her forbidden gift of magic despite the Church s pursuit But for those who have protected her, the price will be paid in blood War threatens those who have given her, and others who harbor the power of magic, refuge As High Priest Sinika gathers the might of the Church, friends in the forest of Kith prepare to fight, while a few join Ria to take on a greater challenge a race to avert the coming war What I liked I always liked the characters that Autumn Birt created and their growth through the series Even Sinika, the antagonist of the story, became a multidimensional villain The story flowed well, there was plenty of action, and loss, sacrifice, and redemption all play a major part in the book I especially liked the way the Elementals and their powers were woven through the story, and how they discoveredabout the powers than they thought possible What I didn t like I thought the resolution of the conflict with the character of Sinika could have been handled a little differently It was a bit of an anticlimactic letdown for me and I thought that the interaction with Isha, an Elemental Dragon, could have been better developed Overall impression The Spirit of Life was well done and a satisfying end to a great trilogy Autumn Birt has created a tale worth reading and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys fantasy, adventure, and a bit of romance My rating 4.5 Stars rounded to 5 Stars The book itself is awesome Great characters, fantastic story, and the world building is on point However, the narrator and the editing of the recording are pretty subpar.
