4.5 Stars I am in lust with the Tangled Ivy trilogy It just seems to hit all the right spots for me The pacing of the story is just right, and there s a perfect balance of romance and suspense These books are just so addicting that I never want them to end Devon is just so sexy and swoony with the mystique and power that surrounds him I will say that we do get to see some vulnerability with Devon in Shadow of a Doubt, and that vulnerable piece of him is Ivy We were a pair, he and I Both 4.5 Stars I am in lust with the Tangled Ivy trilogy It just seems to hit all the right spots for me The pacing of the story is just right, and there s a perfect balance of romance and suspense These books are just so addicting that I never want them to end Devon is just so sexy and swoony with the mystique and power that surrounds him I will say that we do get to see some vulnerability with Devon in Shadow of a Doubt, and that vulnerable piece of him is Ivy We were a pair, he and I Both damaged goods, but from the outside looking in we were perfect our pretty facades hiding the broken and jagged parts of our soul I don t know about the rest of you ladies, but a man like Devon Clay just does it for me He has a harden, untouchable exterior, but deep down he s craves closeness and connection just like the rest of us He has this smooth British accent that I could actually hear in my head as I was reading He also treats Ivy like a queen and pampers her in a way that made me feel envious.Even though there is a ton of romance and sexy times, the plot really drives this story The action and suspense was gripping, and it had me hanging on the edge of my seat Ivy tries to outrun the bad guys, Devon is killing the bad guys, there s shootouts, and even an incident in an Amsterdam brothel Between all the action and the swoon worthy scenes I couldn t put this book down.Since this is the second book in a three part series I was worried the ending would really leave me cliff hanging I have to say though, I am satisfied with how the author ended this book I am still very much looking forward to the final book I CANNOT WAIT You re beautiful, inside and out The past is gone forever Tomorrow is never assured There s only today Live in today Promise me

Okay, so anyone who read my review of the first book in this trilogy may be stunned to see the 4 stars BUT just as I had hoped, once Ivy and Devon became a couple, the things I hated about the story smoothed out and it turned into a can t put down, stay up all night read Yes, the situations can be pretty far fetched at times but noso than any James Bond or Jason Bourne you ve ever read It s pure escapist suspense and excitement

Wow, ok, this book was spectacular I could not put this one down I loved seeing Devon again and his over protective, possessive actions with Ivy The ending OMG, the ending I can t believe we have to wait until December to read the next book My one gripe with this book was view spoiler Devon s reaction to hearing what Vega had done to Ivy He didn t seem to believe Ivy and it irked me Yes, Vega saved him when he was younger but really, it was for her own ends The one thing that did make Wow, ok, this book was spectacular I could not put this one down I loved seeing Devon again and his over protective, possessive actions with Ivy The ending OMG, the ending I can t believe we have to wait until December to read the next book My one gripe with this book was view spoiler Devon s reaction to hearing what Vega had done to Ivy He didn t seem to believe Ivy and it irked me Yes, Vega saved him when he was younger but really, it was for her own ends The one thing that did make me feel better is that we do learn that by the end, Devon no longer trusts Vega hide spoiler There were so many great scenes in this book that I marked in my Kindle However, I m writing this quickly at work If I find the time I ll add some of my favorite scenes to this review.ETA some of my favorite scenes Logan glanced at Devon I think Grams just cockblocked youmate, he smirked And I m pretty sure she called me a cow, I mused. But in this moment, he held me and kissed me, his body moving slowly above mine, and it feltlike becoming one than it ever had.I was already in love with him, but tonight he stole my heart. Devon doesn t give much away so I really liked thisBeautiful Ivy, he whispered by my ear You re turning me inside outGrams is a smart womanThat man loves you, and don t you doubt it He may not have said it, but he watches you like the rooster watches for the sunrise, as if his next breath depends on you being thereI love this because, even though he can t say it, this shows he loves Ivy Instead, he spoke, his voice a low rasp of sound Don t go Please I know you re worried That s not why, he interrupted me Yes, I want to keep you safe But it s you I don t want to lose you, Ivy Not like this Because I m leaving you for a change I asked No sense sugarcoating it Because I care about you, than I ve cared about anyone in a very long time And I should have told you that Weeks ago But I didn t And I hurt you My throat was thick with emotion at the stark vulnerability in his voice Yes, you did, I said simply. His hand brushed my hair back fom my cheek I am sorry, sweet Ivy I want you in my life, he said Will you stay Do you want me, tooSweet He petted my hair and pressed light kisses to my cheeks, my eyes, my jaw.Tell me you re mine I m yours, I breathed as his lips descended onto mine. view spoiler After Ivy thinks Devon is dead Uh, brutal hide spoiler I dropped to my knees on the floor, a sob building in my chest that I couldn t hold back, despite my desperation to try to keep it together.I didn t recognize the sounds I was making Harsh, ugly, pain wracked sobs that tore from the depths of my being Tears streaked my face as I bent over until my forehead rested on the carpet I squeezed my arms tight around my middle, hugging myself as if that alone would stop me from breaking apart.I love you, he said Never forgetDevon to Ivy Sigh So romanticSunlight shining through something incredibly strong That s what you are to me Loved this book
