2.5 stars.Overall, I have to say that while this collection had some decent Twilight zone type stories, the vast majority held no surprises for me Granted, I read quite a bit, but most of these tales were all too predictable already read this storyline dozens of times , or just outright left me feeling that I couldn t care less about the characters or their endings. However, a few stories did stand out for me The first coincidentally, the first in the book was Under Your Skin This one t 2.5 stars.Overall, I have to say that while this collection had some decent Twilight zone type stories, the vast majority held no surprises for me Granted, I read quite a bit, but most of these tales were all too predictable already read this storyline dozens of times , or just outright left me feeling that I couldn t care less about the characters or their endings. However, a few stories did stand out for me The first coincidentally, the first in the book was Under Your Skin This one truly had me squirming at the end a great twist that I didn t quite foresee Another, shorter tale dealt with Shadows this one had a great atmosphere going for it Lastly, and the very inclusion , was the story Open Wide This one exploited one s natural fear of dentists, and had acomplex, satisfying backstory to it.I can t say I really recommend this to the other readers I know, but to someone new to horror or disquieting stories, there might beenjoyment here

Zing Just when one thinks they have the story figured out, zing I was glad I was reading this collection at a bus stop awaiting a school bus with my granddaughter otherwise, I would have been under my covers with a flashlight or smartphone app, shivering like a youngster waiting for the boogey man.C.L.Clark has written stories that will stop you as you think you know, and send a flash of electric current down your spine, raising the hairs on you body.
